WWII Photographer Who Took Atomic Bomb Photos Vindicated
This is a fascinating story of a WWII combat photographer who took photos of the atomic bomb detonation over Hiroshima, Japan. His bomber was not supposed to be in the area, unknown to his unit operations leader, who had ordered the plane into the area to do reconnaissance work that day. He took photos of the bomb explosion itself and the Enola Gay as it flew away from the expanding mushroom cloud. It’s really very interesting. I’m sorry to say there is no photo of the blasts that he took included in the story, but the story itself is worth a read.
Senior living: He really did shoot photos of the Hiroshima A-bomb
Here’s a correction: I found another story that has some of the photos he took:

MTBA to Photographers: We’re sorry we keep arresting you, now do some work for us!
This is rich. The MTBA, which loves to hassle photographers for not breaking the law, now wants photographers to do their jobs for them and help them catch pervs on the trains. And, if a photographer should happen to catch a perv, make sure the photo gets sent to the MTBA first, instead of posted on a web site or blog. Here’s an idea; eat my shorts, MTBA. Bite me, bigtime. Up yours, creeps.
